Supported content

You can add a content item to a catalog or layout if the item type is supported in ArcGIS Hub. This includes any ArcGIS Online item type. Hub shows standard metadata on the about view (/about) for items it cannot display on the explore view (/explore).

Families by item types

Supported items are organized into non-configurable families. The preview page (/about or /explore) that opens when viewing an item in Hub is determined by its content family. The following table shows which preview page opens by default for a given item type.
