Points along

The Points along builder generates multiple point features along a sketched line. You can specify the number of points to be created or the distance between each point feature. Additionally, you can create the point features at a specified offset distance from the left or the right of the sketched line.

This builder is available to feature templates that create point features when a group template is configured with the following settings:

• The primary template creates point or line features.

• The group template toolset on the Tools side tab is set to Line tools.

Position along the line	The number of point features that are created or the distance between them Number of points—The number of points created equidistance to each other specified as an integer. Distance—The distance to maintain between each point feature.	Required
Offset	The distance from the left or right side of the sketched line at which the new point features are created Left—Offset is measured from the left of the segment. Right—Offset is measured from the right of the segment.	Optional
Vertex before offset	Determines the order of the build sequence at which the specified offset distance is measured for the point features. Check Vertex before offset to create point features measured from the primary line feature. Uncheck this setting to create point features measured from the features or other construction objects created by the preceding builder. Tip: For example, uncheck this setting to build point features that are coincident with offset line features created by the Multiple single part lines builder with the same offset distance.
