Description

The Remove Overlap option was disabled and ignored during processing. This prevents long run times or tool failure when the combination of inputs would require excessive resources to calculate and resolve non-overlapping drive-time polygons.

This can occur due to the following:

• A large number of input point features (typically hundreds to thousands, depending on density and geographic extent).

• Multiple drive-time radii per bands per point.

• Long drive times—for example, over 30 minutes in dense urban areas or across large regions.

• High polygon detail level—for example, Detailed.

Solution

Some possible solutions may include:

• Reduce the number of input points by processing in smaller batches.

• Use fewer radii per bands per point. Limit to 1–3 drive times.

• Shorten drive-time values by using smaller thresholds—for example, 5–15 minutes instead of 30 or more.

• Reduce the polygon detail by setting the Polygon Detail parameter to Standard or Simplified.
