181004: A facilities layer could not be found in the same workspace as input levels features. <Value> field will not be populated for generated pathways.

Description

The tool populates the FACILITY_NAME field in the following ways for generated pathway features:

  • If the input levels are from a floor-aware map, the tool uses the layer set as the Facilities layer in the map properties.

  • If the input levels are not from a floor-aware map, the tool searches for a Facilities layer in the Indoors workspace where the Levels layer is sourced.

If no Facilities layer is found, the tool does not populate the FACILITY_NAME field in the generated pathway features. This field value is used when providing routable directions in the Indoors web and mobile apps.

Solution

Do one of the following:

  • Provide a Levels layer from a floor-aware map as input to the tool.

  • Provide a Levels layer from a workspace (geodatabase or feature service) that also contains a Facilities layer or feature class.

  • Update the FACILITY_NAME field manually for generated pathway features.
