Export a reconstruction
You can export a reconstruction product after it is generated. The export tool allows you to customize your reconstruction products by converting them to different formats. Advanced export settings allow you to apply a region of interest, resample raster products, change tiling on some raster and point cloud products, shift mesh products, correct the color, reduce texture resolution, and project from the reconstruction coordinate system to another.
Note:
Exporting products stored in the cloud is not supported.
Export reconstruction results
To export a reconstruction, complete the following steps:
In the Project Tree pane, select the reconstruction to export.
On the Reconstruction tab, click Export
.The Export Reconstruction Results pane appears.
Provide a name for the export in the Export Name text box.
Under Output Directory, click Browse
.The Select output directory browse dialog box appears.
Browse to the location and click OK.
Under Products to Export, check the check boxes for the products to export.
In the Formats section, click the formats drop-down menu of the product type you want to convert to and select the file type.
Tip:
Multiple file types can be selected for each product type.
If advanced export settings are needed, click Next to continue to the next section before exporting.
Click Export.
The reconstruction is exported.
A folder with the reconstruction export name is created containing the corresponding products. The reconstruction results are divided into one folder per product type and per product format.
Apply advanced export settings (optional)
Advanced export settings allow you to apply a region of interest, resample raster products, change tiling on some raster and point cloud products, shift mesh products, correct the color, reduce texture resolution, and project from one reconstruction coordinate system to another. These settings are all optional.
Note:
Only settings applicable to the selected products and formats are shown.
To use advanced export settings, complete the following steps:
If necessary, in the Export Reconstruction Results pane, click Next.
Check the Region of Interest check box.
Click the Method drop-down arrow and choose an option.
If you choose Extent Outline, click the Specify outline geometry drop-down arrow and the geometry file containing the region of interest.
If you choose Bounding Box, provide values for the four coordinates to define the bounding box that will be used to clip the raster.
Check the Resample Raster check box to change the spatial resolution of your raster products based on the specified ground sampling distance.
In the Ground sampling distance text box, provide the appropriate distance.
Check the Change Tiling check box to divide the raster and point cloud products into smaller pieces based on the chosen method.
Click the Tiling Method drop-down arrow and choose the appropriate method.
If you choose Tile Size and Origin, specify the tile size in the Tile Size text box. Under Tile Origin, indicate the X and Y values of the origin.
If you choose Split Polygon Geometry, specify a polygon geometry to split the products. Under Specify split polygon geometry, click Browse
, browse to and select the tiling geometry, and click OK.Note:
Only rasters in TIF format can be tiled. Point clouds in SLPK format cannot be tiled.
Check the Shift check box to adjust the position of your OBJ mesh products based on the specified offset.
Check the Local Offset check box to move the center of the mesh to the origin.
Alternatively, provide offset values in the X, Y, Z text boxes.
Check the Height Adjustment check box to adjust the vertical position of your mesh products based on the specified offset.
In the Offset text box, provide the vertical offset.
Note:
Only meshes in SLPK and 3D Tiles format can be shifted vertically.
Check the Color Correction check box to adjust the color of your mesh products based on a lookup table file.
Click Browse
, and in the Select color correction file window, browse to and select a lookup table file (.cube), and click OK.Check the Downsampling check box to reduce the texture resolution of your mesh.
For Texture Resolution, set a value for the ground sampling distance to be used.
Check the Project Raster Products check box to project the raster products from the reconstruction coordinate system to another.
Click the Select coordinate system button
, and in the Spatial Reference window, choose a coordinate system, and click OK.Check the Project Point Cloud Products check box to project the point cloud products from the reconstruction coordinate system to another.
Click the Select coordinate system button
, and in the Spatial Reference window, choose a coordinate system, and click OK.Check the Project Mesh Products check box to project the mesh products from the reconstruction coordinate system to another.
Click the Select coordinate system button
, and in the Spatial Reference window, choose a coordinate system, and click OK.Check the Keep Input Heights check box to preserve the elevation of the exported mesh product in the reconstruction spatial reference, instead of transforming it to ellipsoidal height.
Note:
This option only applies to the 3D Tiles format.
Click Export.
The reconstruction is exported.
A folder with the reconstruction export name is created containing the corresponding products. The reconstruction results are divided into one folder per product type and per product format with the advanced export settings applied.
Supported export formats
You can export reconstruction results in the following formats:
