Copy a geometry

After you import, create, or edit a geometry in ArcGIS Reality Studio, a copy of the geometry is saved as a shapefile (.shp) and is stored on disk. The original geometries remain and are no longer used.

You can copy the shapefiles from a ArcGIS Reality Studio project to share the geometries with colleagues or between projects.

To copy a geometry shapefile, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Project Tree tab, click the Data tab.

  2. Right-click the geometry you want to copy, and click Open File Location .

The folder containing the geometry shapefiles (.shp) opens in File Explorer.

  3. Select and copy all the files that have the geometry name as a prefix except the LOCK files.

    Note:

There should be eight shapefile components and four LOCK files.
