The classic Esri Story Maps templates—consisting of Cascade, Journal, Series, Shortlist, Swipe, and Tour—have been deprecated and are scheduled to be retired in Q1 2026.

ArcGIS StoryMaps is the recommended storytelling tool in ArcGIS. It is recommended that you remake any classic stories that are still providing value to your organization using ArcGIS StoryMaps or another ArcGIS app.
