Map and image choreography
Choreography is a technique that allows you to capture informative states of a map or image so that your readers can play them back simply by scrolling through your story.
The essential steps to create a choreographed experience for readers are as follows:
Create a story and add a sidecar.
Add a map to the media panel of a sidecar slide.
For map choreography, create an express map or add a web map, or web scene. For image choreography, create an express map and add an image base layer to it.
Configure the map in the view you want readers to see first.
Duplicate the slide.
Update the map view in the second slide to the view you want readers to see next.
Repeat the previous two steps as needed to tell your story.
Note:
For each map view, you can set or change the visible layers, the map extent, and whether there is a feature pop-up visible. You can also enable or disable map tools such as the legend or overview map.
