What's new in ArcGIS Video Server

ArcGIS Video Server is an ArcGIS Enterprise server role that allows you to index, search, publish, and stream video as a service with geospatial and temporal context. The 12.1 release of ArcGIS Video Server has the following improvements and features:

  • Extended support for the ArcGIS Video Server REST API.

  • Site & layer-based search capabilities.

  • Increased ArcGIS Enterprise readiness.

  • Improved client integration with ArcGIS Excalibur.

  • Support for imported feature layers to be treated as playlists in ArcGIS Excalibur.

  • Additional fixes, including improved livestream stability.

  • Support for Android/iOS videos.

  • Enhanced elevation support to improve the accuracy of geo-registered video.

  • Improved desktop stability and support.

  • Manually determine the codec used when publishing video layers (h264 vs h265).
