What's new in ArcGIS Workflow Manager

Available with Workflow Manager license.

The 12.1 release of ArcGIS Workflow Manager includes the following new features and enhanced functionality:

  • In ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes, you can configure the workflow management services premium capability. If you are transitioning from a federated Workflow Manager Server site to workflow management services, refer to this guidance for important considerations.

  • Steps, paths, and labels that were configured in one diagram can be copied to another diagram in the same tab, across different tabs, or in different windows of the same browser.

  • Organization members must have the Create workflow item privilege to create workflow items.

    Note:

This privilege is assigned to the Administrator and Publisher roles by default. If you use custom roles in your organization, they are not assigned the Create workflow item privilege by default.

  • Thumbnails for workflow items appear on the My Workflow Items page.

  • You can see who closed a job using the closed_by property. It can be used as follows:

    Note:

Jobs closed prior to the latest workflow item version include the property without a value.

  • When editing a diagram, you can search for a step in the diagram and zoom to it to review the step details.

  • On the Manage page, you can click view in Work page to open the job on the Work page.

  • You can include associated extended property tables when you delete a job template.

  • A jobUpdateLocation privilege is available for different roles. This privilege is required to update a job's location using ArcGIS REST API or ArcGIS API for Python.

  • You can update a job's notes while a step is running.

  • You can filter jobs in the Manage and Work pages to show a job's children.

  • You can classify workflow items based on their level of sensitivity if your organization has configured a classification schema. The classification banner you set for the item will always appear at the top and bottom edges of the application.
