Set map properties

Adjust settings that apply to an entire ArcGIS web map in the Map properties pane. You can enable a background color to improve your users’ experience interacting with your map. You can also view your map title and description and sign out of your ArcGIS organizational account from Map properties pane.

Enable a background color

You can use a background color on its own or in combination with layer blending. In some cases, especially when using a custom basemap, you may need to set a background color for areas the basemap doesn't cover. The basemap color can be part of the overall thematic focus of the map, or it can be a color that corresponds with organizational themes.
