Import S-100 Cell (Maritime Tools)

Summary

Imports S-100 hydrographic data into a geodatabase created from a related S-100 Feature Catalogue.

Usage

  • Before importing data, the appropriate data model must exist in the Target Workspace parameter value. Use the Import S-100 Feature Catalogue tool to import the data model.

  • An S-100 Feature Catalogue file is required to map the features and attributes.

  • Data can include any of the S-100 vector-based product specifications, such as S-101.

    Visit the International Hydrographic Organization website for a complete list of product specifications.

  • The coordinate system of the input base cell should match the coordinate system of the geodatabase.

  • This tool does not reproject data. Verify that the projection of the input base cell matches that of the target workspace.

S-100 Feature Catalogue

An .xml file that follows the S-100 Feature Catalogue format as defined by the IHO. It describes the content of a data product and its specifications. The default file location for S-100 catalogue files is <ArcGIS Maritime installation location>\ArcGIS Maritime\Product Files\<version>\S-101\, provided the Maritime product files are installed.

The data that will be updated in a base file in S-100 format.

Create S-57 Product

(Optional)

Specifies whether an S-57 product will be created when an S-100 cell is imported. This parameter is only visible when the target workspace is co-production enabled.

  • Checked—An S-57 product will be created. The S57ProductDefinitions table and S57ProductCoverage feature class will be updated based on the information in the S-101 cell.

  • Unchecked—An S-57 product will not be created. This is the default.
