180483: Failed to create attribute rules for target dataset.

Description

Attribute rules could not be created for the feature class, possibly due to one of the following:

• Editor tracking could not be enabled on the feature class.

• Global IDs could not be added to the feature class.

• Branch versioning has not been enabled if using an enterprise geodatabase.

Solution

Do one of the following:

• Enable editor tracking manually on the feature class using the Manage tab. Then add attribute rules to the feature class.

• Run the Add Global IDs tool to generate global IDs for the feature class.

• Register the geodatabase as branch versioned if you're using an enterprise geodatabase.
