Add and configure ArcGIS apps
You can add many different types of ArcGIS apps to content you create with ArcGIS StoryMaps. The apps can be embedded and viewed live to provide an interactive experience for your audience.
You can add ArcGIS apps to stories, briefings, frames, and collections.
In stories, you can add apps to the body of a story, sidecar narrative panels, and sidecar media panels.
In briefings, you can add apps to briefing slide panels of any type (except the cover), and as briefing attachments.
In frames, you can add apps to frame slide panels on any slide except the cover.
In collections, you can add apps as collection items.
Note:
Once an app is added, you can adjust its behavior and display using the same configuration options that are available for embeds.
Supported apps
The following ArcGIS app item types are supported for direct embedding with the ArcGIS app option in ArcGIS StoryMaps.
360 VR Experiences
Dashboards
Instant apps

ArcGIS Survey123
An ArcGIS Survey123 form will take on the colors of the theme currently applied to the ArcGIS StoryMaps content item in which it is embedded. Additionally, the embed height will be set so the entire survey can be seen without scrolling, unless the survey is very long (taller than 3,000 pixels).
To disable the automatic theming and sizing, include the hide URL parameter without the theme value. For more information about ArcGIS Survey123 URL parameters, see Survey123 Tricks of the Trade: Web form URL parameters.
