Display

The Display tab includes the following settings:

• Hide sharing options—Removes the Share menu from the header for items shared publicly.

  • Hide cover—Always hides the cover. Use only when the item will not be widely shared.

  • Hide overview page elements—Removes the Collection heading and Get started button from a collection cover.

  • Date on cover—Choose whether and how the date appears on the cover.

  • Language and region—Sets the language for written content. This helps browser translation tools work as expected. Some languages also require a number and date format.

Note:

Your ArcGIS profile determines the default language in the ArcGIS StoryMaps builders. If you create content in a different language, change your ArcGIS profile to match the language you are writing in.

The language setting for a collection applies only to the collection, not to stories, briefings, apps, or other content within it.

Translations (beta)

Beta:

Translations is in beta and available only for stories. If you encounter issues with a beta feature, share your feedback on the Esri Community.

On the Translations tab, you can link translated versions of a story so readers can switch between languages.

Analytics

Use the Analytics tab to configure Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics for your published ArcGIS StoryMaps items. Analytics tracking provides insight into your audience and how they engage with your content.

See Analytics.

Advanced

On the Advanced tab, you can enable advanced embedding. This allows developers to embed an ArcGIS StoryMaps item in a web page hosted on your domain and customize its appearance and functionality with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

See Advanced embedding.
