Beta features

The ArcGIS StoryMaps product is not in beta, but some of its features have a beta label. Beta features may have incomplete functionality or documentation, may undergo minor unannounced changes, and may be available in English only.

If you encounter issues or experience problems with a beta feature, you can share your feedback on the Esri Community.

ArcGIS Online

When using ArcGIS Online, beta features of ArcGIS StoryMaps are available unless an administrator has blocked beta apps and capabilities in the ArcGIS Online organization settings. For more information, see the Blocked Esri apps section under Apps in the Configure security settings topic.

Current beta features include the following:

• Frames

• AI assistant

• Insights

• Translations

• Advanced embedding

• Image editor

ArcGIS Enterprise

When using ArcGIS Enterprise, beta features of ArcGIS StoryMaps are unavailable until enabled by an administrator. For more information, see Organization settings.

Beta features vary across versions of ArcGIS Enterprise. Check with your ArcGIS administrator to determine which version of ArcGIS Enterprise you are using, and review the information provided in ArcGIS StoryMaps on ArcGIS Enterprise feature comparison to determine which features are beta.
