Credit usage
Credits are the currency used across ArcGIS for transactions such as data storage, spatial analysis, and premium content. For more information, see Understand credits.
Note:
To learn about a story's credits section, where you can provide background information and attribution for the resources used in a story, see Add credits.
File storage
In ArcGIS Online, credit usage for file storage is calculated by GB per month and includes:
Image, video, and PDF files uploaded in the ArcGIS StoryMaps builders
Express map data, text content, and app configuration information (typically very small)
There are no file storage charges when using ArcGIS Enterprise.
Premium content
If you publish an ArcGIS StoryMap containing premium content in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise, each view it receives will consume credits. For example:
Maps from ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World
Premium content layers in maps you've made or from your organization
Other services
If a story uses a web map or web scene that contains hosted feature or tile layers, those items will separately consume credits for data storage, but there are no additional credits consumed for using them in an ArcGIS StoryMap.
Tips to manage credits
The following tips may be helpful for managing credits used for ArcGIS StoryMaps:
Periodically review your draft and published stories. Unpublish or delete any that are no longer needed or being used.
Delete map layers that are no longer needed.
Archive data offline.
