Available with an ArcGIS Topographic Mapping license.
The Map Production System (MPS) web app uses a web map with an area of interest (AOI) index composed of polygon feature layers. This map must be shared to your ArcGIS Enterprise portal to create the MPS web app.
To share the web map, complete the following steps in ArcGIS Pro:
Start ArcGIS Pro if necessary and open the project that contains the map that you want to share.
Sign in to the portal to which you want to share the map.
Sharing a web map to an Enterprise portal requires publishing privileges.
Click the Share tab.
The Share As Web Map pane appears.
Provide a name, summary, and tags for the web map.
In the Select a Configuration section, choose an Exploratory option from the drop-down menu as the configuration.
Optionally, check the Use symbol types compatible with all clients check box to convert ArcGIS Pro symbols to web symbols that can be rendered bu all apps.
In the Location section, click the Portal Folder drop-down arrow and choose a folder in y our portal content to store the web map.
By default, the web map and any new web layers that are created with the web map are stored at the root level of your portal content.
In the Sharing Level section, check the appropriate check box to specify how the map will be shared:
Owner—Only the owner (and organization members with privileges to view content owned by other members) can access the item. This is the default option.
Organization—Share your content with all authenticated users in your organization. This option is available when you are signed in with an organizational account.
Everyone (public)—Share your content with the public. Anyone can access and see it.
Optionally, under Groups, select groups to which you belong to share your content with group members.
Tip:
If your map includes existing web layers, ensure the Sharing Level settings for those layers are as inclusive as the Sharing Level setting of the web map. Otherwise, the existing web layers may not be accessible when the web map is opened in Map Viewer. The sharing properties of existing web layers can be viewed and changed in your portal.
Click Analyze to check the web map for any issues and address them before sharing the web map.
Click Share.
The web map is shared with your portal and can be used to create a web app.
