Create the app

Available with an ArcGIS Topographic Mapping license.

Once the web map is shared to your portal, you can use it to create a web app.

To create the Topographic Production Manager (TPM) web app from the web map you created and shared, complete the following steps:

  1. In your ArcGIS Enterprise portal, click the Content tab and find the web map that contains the AOI layers that you shared.

  2. Click the web map to open its Overview page.

  3. Click the Create app drop-down arrow and click Topographic Production.

    Note:

    You may need to click the Show more drop-down arrow for Create app to appear.

    The Topographic Production System page appears.

    Tip:

    If you don't see the Topographic Production System page, ensure that the Topographic Production System app gallery is enabled on your organization's portal properties. You can use the ArcGIS Portal Directory (Sharing API) to insert "tpsEnabled":true in the Portal Configuration Properties parameter.

  4. Click the Choose button for Topographic Production Manager.

    The Create App - Topographic Production Manager dialog box appears.

  5. Provide a title, the tags, and a folder location for the app.

  6. Click CREATE APP.

    The Topographic Production Manager dialog box appears and you can configure the TPM app's settings.

The TPM web app is created after the settings are configured and appears as an item on your portal's Content tab. To access it from the item's Overview page, click View.

The first time the app is opened, its settings must be configured by someone with administrator privileges. This includes the type of map products that the app can export and other properties, including its appearance.
