In the TPM app, click the Design tab at the top if it's not already the active view.
Click the Projects tab on the side.
The Projects pane appears with the existing projects.
Expand a project to see its phases.
Click More options
for a phase and choose Link Existing TaskGroup. The UPDATE PHASE tab becomes active with the available task groups listed.

The task group is associated with the phase. Expand the phase in the Projects pane to see the linked task group.
Dive in:
A task group can have multiple versions. For example, the MGCP Editing Task Group has the following versions:
MGCP_50K_Replica
MGCP_50K_SDEConnectedEditing
MTM50_WebConnectedEditing
You can review the versions associated with a task group by expanding the task group in the Projects pane. Select a version to update the area of interest index layer and map extent associated with the version.
Update the map
After a task group has been linked to a phase, you can update the task group's map settings by completing the following steps:
In the TPM app, select a task group in the Projects pane.
Click the MAP tab.
Click the Area of Interest drop-down arrow and choose an index layer.
By default, the task group uses the phase's area of interest index layer.
In the Longitude and Latitude text boxes, specify the longitude and latitude values for the location that you want to associate with the task group.
By default, the task group uses the phase's coordinates.
Provide a numerical value in the Zoom Level text box that corresponds to the extent of the phase.
By default, the task group uses the phase's extent.
Tip:
Preview the extent and location on the adjacent interactive map. Adjusting this map updates the specified values.
Click SAVE.
The task group's map settings are updated.
Further updates to an existing task group's settings can be made by selecting it from the list and providing new values for the task group's properties.
