Delete the root folder

Deleting the root folder is not a standard workflow for using ArcGIS Documentation Center because the root folder may contain documentation sets that you want to keep or reference after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. However, you may want to delete the root folder after uninstalling the app to clear all documentation sets from the machine and save space.

Steps

  1. Open the root folder in File Explorer and record its location.

  2. Uninstall ArcGIS Documentation Center.

  3. If you already have the root folder open in File Explorer, switch to it. Otherwise, navigate to the root folder location in File Explorer.

  4. Move up one level in the directory hierarchy and delete the root folder.
