Disable Network Topology (Utility Network Tools)

Summary

Disables the network topology for an existing utility network.

Note:

Starting with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1, the disable network topology operation will process asynchronously using the UtilityNetworkTools geoprocessing service when working with a utility network in an enterprise geodatabase. The UtilityNetworkTools service is preconfigured in the System folder for feature services that include a utility network. It has a longer time-out setting and is reserved for utility network geoprocessing tasks.

Usage

  • The topology must be disabled when adding, importing, or deleting rules.

  • For enhanced performance, it is recommended that you disable the topology before loading data and importing .csv association files.

  • When working with an enterprise geodatabase, the following are requirements:

    • If using a database connection, the Input Utility Network parameter value must be from a database connection established as the database utility network owner.

    • If referencing a service, the active portal account must be the portal utility network owner.

    • Only a single session can run the disable network topology operation at a time.

    License:

The active portal account must be assigned a license with the ArcGIS Advanced Editing user type extension to use this tool in an enterprise deployment.
