Distributed processing in Reality Studio
In Reality Studio, you can share the processing workload among multiple workstations. Reconstructions and image optimization are processed as jobs in a workspace. You can connect other workstations to this workspace to either monitor the progress in it or actively contribute to the processing of submitted jobs. When a workstation is connected as a processing node to a workspace, it automatically receives the next pending task to process.
You can do the following using distributed processing:
Optimize images and directly submit the job to a workspace for processing.
Create a reconstruction and directly submit it to a workspace for processing.
Contribute to a workspace to connect the workstation to an existing workspace and contribute by processing assigned tasks.
Monitor a workspace to connect the workstation to a workspace and monitor processing activity. The workstation does not contribute to the processing.
