What's new in ArcGIS for SharePoint

The 2026.2 update to ArcGIS for SharePoint includes the following:

  • Use the Add layer pane to import a shapefile, and create either a hosted feature layer or a SharePoint list.

  • You can now configure ArcGIS for SharePoint to store terms, either at the site level or the global term group level.

  • You can now delete a flow created for Geocoding, or extract EXIF data directly from SharePoint. For more information, see Extract EXIF data.

  • Edit map view is now called Map view, which honors item level permissions for SharePoint lists and document library items. This allows you, upon sign-in, to add a basemap from your ArcGIS organization.
