Change the root folder

The root folder is the location where ArcGIS Documentation Center stores and reads documentation sets. Follow these steps to change the root folder to a different location.

Steps

  1. Open ArcGIS Documentation Center.

  2. Click the Menu button in the upper right corner and choose Settings.

    The Settings dialog box opens.

  3. Under Root folder, click the Change the root folder button .

    The Root folder dialog box opens. It allows you to navigate to and select a new root folder.

  4. Navigate to the folder you want to set as the new root folder and click Select Folder.

    The Root folder dialog box closes and the new root folder appears in the Settings dialog box.

  5. Click OK to save your changes.

  6. Click the Home tab and the Refresh button to view the documentation sets that are available in the new root folder.

Any documentation sets that you download from the Library tab or that you import will now be stored in the new root folder.
