Export documentation sets

Exporting documentation sets allows you to share it with others so they can import it into their root folder and view it in ArcGIS Documentation Center. When you export a documentation set, it is saved as a ZIP file that contains all the files and folders of the documentation set.

You might want to use this workflow if you need to refer to a doc set that is shared with your organization on a network drive but you need to take the documentation with you to work in the field.

Steps

  1. Open ArcGIS Documentation Center.

  2. Click the Home tab.

  3. Find the card for the documentation set you want to export.

  4. On the card, click the Menu button and choose Export.

  5. In the file explorer window, navigate to the location where you want to save the exported documentation set, enter a name for the ZIP file, and click Save.

The documentation set is exported as a ZIP file to the location you specified. You can now share the ZIP file with others so they can import it into their root folder and view it in ArcGIS Documentation Center.
