Remove a documentation set

After you download a documentation set, you may decide to remove it from your system. Removing a documentation set frees up disk space and helps you manage your downloaded content.

Steps

  1. Open ArcGIS Documentation Center.

  2. Click the Home tab.

  3. Find the card for the documentation set you want to remove.

  4. On the card, click the Menu button and choose Remove.

    Given you have the necessary permissions, the card and the doc set are removed from your root folder.

Prevent users from removing documentation sets

If you are using a shared root folder for multiple users, you may want to prevent users from removing documentation sets. To do this, the folder where the documentation sets are stored must have read-only permissions for the users. This way, users can access the documentation sets but cannot modify or delete them.
