Update a documentation set

After you download a documentation set, Esri may release updates to it. When an update is available, you can download and apply it to keep your documentation set current.

Steps

Check for updates to your downloaded documentation sets.

  1. Open ArcGIS Documentation Center.

  2. Click the Home tab.

  3. Look at the status icons of the doc sets.

    • The Latest icon indicates you have the most current version of the documentation set.

    • A warning icon indicates the app cannot determine whether an update is available. This often indicates your computer is disconnected from the internet.

    • A restricted network icon indicates you have access to the network but the settings in the appSettings.json file are preventing the app from checking for updates.

    • The Update available button indicates an updated version of the documentation set is available.

  4. If you see the Update available button, click it to download the documentation update.

    • Once the update is downloaded, the Latest icon should appear, indicating you have the most current version of the documentation set.
