Export Layouts (Data Management Tools)

Summary

Exports multiple layouts to a specified export format.

Usage

The export format file type and settings are specified in the Export Preset File parameter.
You can use the default export preset files that are used in the Export gallery or your own custom export preset files.
Use an export preset file with map series export settings to export the pages in a layout that has a map series enabled.
The Export Layouts tool can also be invoked in ArcGIS Pro by right clicking multiple layouts in the Catalog Pane and selecting Export to file.

layouts [layouts,...]	The layouts to export. This parameter can accept layouts within an ArcGIS Pro project or a Layout file (`.pagx`). If you are using ArcGIS Pro, the layouts can be specified as strings. When running the tool as a stand-alone script, specify the input layouts within an ArcGIS Pro project using Layout objects. ExportLayouts example 1 (Python window)

The following example exports two layouts to PDF using a default export preset file. The location of the folder containing the default export preset file may be different on your machine than the path in the example.

ExportLayouts example 2 (stand-alone script)

The following example exports all layouts in a project using a custom export preset file.
