Process an alignment

Once an alignment is created, you can submit it to a workspace for processing. Additionally, you can use your workstation and other workstations to contribute to the processing of the workspace.

Submit an alignment for processing

To process an alignment, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Project Tree pane, click an alignment to select it.

  2. On the Alignment tab, click Submit to submit the alignment to the workspace.

    The Workspace Monitor opens automatically.

  3. In the Workspace Monitor, click Start Contribution to start contributing to the workspace.

    Note:

    If you previously contributed to the workspace and did not click Stop Contribution, processing will begin automatically.

Track the progress of an alignment

To track the progress of an alignment, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Alignment tab, click Manage Workspace to monitor the alignment progress.

    The Workspace Monitor opens.

  2. Within the Workspace Monitor, select the alignment from the job list and click Job Monitor .

Note:

An alignment job consists of multiple preparation tasks for the tie point candidate generation and of one alignment ask for the final optimization.

Once the alignment process is finished, you can open the Quality Assurance tool by clicking Quality Assurance on the Alignment tab.

The Quality Assurance tool appears with the Overview tab active, which displays general information and a statistical overview of the alignment results.
