Release notes for ArcGIS Pro 3.7

Each major, minor, and patch release of ArcGIS Pro includes fixes for bugs that were reported to Esri Technical Support. The bugs that were fixed are reported in the Issues Addressed list.

For information about compatibility between ArcGIS Pro 3.x and earlier releases, see Migration from ArcGIS Pro 2.x to 3.x.

Issues Addressed list

See the Issues Addressed list for 3.7 [PDF].

  • You can find more information about an issue in the .pdf file by searching for the BUG number on the Esri Technical Support website.

  • The .pdf file is updated as patches are released.

Note:

ArcGIS Pro build numbers and release dates for each release are listed on the Esri Technical Support website.

What's new

Major and minor releases also include new functionality, which is described in What's new in ArcGIS Pro.

Removal and deprecation notices

Notices are released when it is determined that functionality will be removed from a future version of ArcGIS Pro. The notices describe what will be removed so you can evaluate whether your workflows will be affected; notices also detail alternative functionality so you can find other ways to reach the same or similar results from your workflows; and they provide when the removal will occur, if known, so you can schedule updates. You can browse ArcGIS Pro deprecation notices by release on the Esri Technical Support website.

Third-party deprecations that impact ArcGIS Pro

Microsoft .NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime

Microsoft .NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime is not used with ArcGIS Pro 3.7 because it is scheduled to be retired November 2026. Microsoft .NET 10.0 Desktop Runtime is required instead. For more information on the current system requirements, see ArcGIS Pro 3.7 system requirements.

Note:

You can install .NET 10.0 Desktop Runtime on a machine that currently has .NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime installed.

VBScript

With Windows 11, version 24H2, VBScript becomes a feature on demand. Although it is enabled by default in version 24H2, disabling it will cause certain functionality in ArcGIS Pro to stop working.

In a later Windows release, the VBScript feature will be disabled by default, and you will need to manually enable it if required. Microsoft has announced plans to fully remove VBScript from Windows in later versions. ArcGIS Pro users are encouraged to prepare for its removal as soon as possible.

User-schema geodatabases in Oracle

Connections to a user-schema geodatabase in Oracle are no longer supported. If you still have user-schema geodatabases, move the content out of them and delete the user-schema geodatabases before you upgrade to ArcGIS Pro 3.7.

Functionality removed at ArcGIS Pro 3.7

The following functionality is removed at ArcGIS Pro 3.7.

Concurrent Use and Single Use licensing changes

As of December 1, 2025, it is no longer possible in My Esri to convert Named User licenses to Single Use or Concurrent Use licenses, or to convert those licenses to Named User licenses.

The following changes have also been made to licensing starting with ArcGIS Pro 3.7:

  • Concurrent Use licenses are no longer supported. See Concurrent Use License Type and ArcGIS License Manager Deprecation Notice for more information.

  • New Single Use licenses must be obtained. For more information, see Single Use License change for ArcGIS Products

  • The ArcGIS Reality for ArcGIS Pro extension is no longer available with a Single Use license type. To license the ArcGIS Reality for ArcGIS Pro extension, you need the Named User license type with the Reality extension license.

Current Single Use licenses for Reality for ArcGIS Pro are supported through the end of your organization's maintenance term.

License Manager is deprecated

ArcGIS License Manager was deprecated July 1, 2025. Updates will be available into 2028 to support software that uses Concurrent Use licenses, such as ArcGIS Pro, until those versions enter Mature support. See Concurrent Use License Type and ArcGIS License Manager Deprecation Notice for more information.

The help viewer installed with ArcGIS Pro

The help viewer that has previously been installed with ArcGIS Pro has been deprecated, as has the functionality within it. This viewer is replaced by the ArcGIS Documentation Center, which allows you to download documentation sets for different products and for different languages. The new ArcGIS Documentation Center is an application that is downloaded separately from My Esri. More information can be found at Introduction to ArcGIS Documentation Center.

Support for Reviewer workspace and related tools

Data quality workflows and related tools based on the ArcGIS Data Reviewer Reviewer workspace are deprecated and are no longer supported. It is recommended that you migrate to the ArcGIS Data Reviewer attribute rules-based workflows.

The following tools and functionality are deprecated:

  • The ability to add Reviewer Batch Jobs and Reviewer Sessions as items to an ArcGIS Pro project

  • Visual review tools (Flag Missing Features, Browse Features)

  • Error management tools (Reviewer Table, Update Results panes)

  • Geoprocessing tools that are deprecated include the following:

    • Tools that support the Reviewer workspace (Enable Data Reviewer, Create Reviewer Session, and Delete Reviewer Session)

    • Automated quality control tools (Execute Reviewer Batch Job and Write To Reviewer Table)

ModelBuilder

The Flip Flow Direction setting has been removed from ModelBuilder diagram properties. This change does not alter the flow direction or layout of existing model diagrams.

Support for Utility Network Version 3

Utility Network Version 3 has been deprecated and is no longer supported. It is recommended that you upgrade your utility network dataset to a later version using the Upgrade Dataset tool.

Functionality that will be removed in future releases

The following functionality is scheduled to be removed in a release after ArcGIS Pro 3.7

Utility networks

The shortest path trace type is deprecated at this release. While the shortest path trace will continue to function and be an option until the next major release, it is recommended that you use the path trace type to return the shortest path. The path trace provides the same functionality to return a shortest path result while offering additional capabilities to find paths in your network. The path trace is not currently supported across all platforms. Some clients, APIs, and SDKs will adopt support for the path trace in future releases.

Raster file formats

For changes in raster file format support, see Retired and deprecated raster file formats.

The geoprocessing tools that are deprecated with this release are listed by toolbox name in the sections below.

Indoors toolbox

The following ArcGIS Indoors tools are deprecated at this release:

  • Generate Indoor Network Dataset

  • Generate Floor Transitions

  • Thin Indoor Pathways

Companion ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise versions

ArcGIS is a system that can be extended with multiple products to address many needs. Two products that are frequently used together are ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise. Major and minor versions of these two products are developed together and released within months of each other so that shared functionality can be introduced and improved.

Although earlier and later versions of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise work together for most functionality, pairing companion versions is recommended. When that isn't possible, staying within a range of two companion versions is recommended. The table below lists the companion versions.

ArcGIS Pro version ArcGIS Enterprise version
ArcGIS Pro 3.7 ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1
ArcGIS Pro 3.6 ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0
ArcGIS Pro 3.5 ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5
ArcGIS Pro 3.4 ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4
ArcGIS Pro 3.3 ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3
ArcGIS Pro 3.2 ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2
ArcGIS Pro 3.1 ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1
ArcGIS Pro 3.0 ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0
ArcGIS Pro 2.9 ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1

When specific minimum software version combinations are required for particular functionality, that information will be stated in the documentation for that functionality.
