Introduction to content

Adding content is the most common action you perform when using the ArcGIS StoryMaps builders. When adding content to a story, you can think about pieces of content as blocks that are stacked in a column. You can also add content to the panels on a briefing slide or frame slide, as briefing attachments, and as items in a collection. Add content

Adding content is done in a similar way across each of the ArcGIS StoryMaps builders.

In a story, add inline content to the story body or an immersive narrative panel by clicking the Add content block button . To add content in an immersive media panel, click the Add button.
In a briefing, add content to a briefing slide panel by clicking the Add media button. To add content as a briefing attachment, highlight some text, click the Link button, and select ArcGIS content or Upload.
In a frame, add content to a frame slide panel by clicking the Add content block button .
In a collection, add content by clicking the Add to collection button.

Note:

In a story, you cannot add tables to sidecar media panels.

In a briefing, you can also add maps as briefing attachments.

Note:

In a story, you cannot add galleries and swipes to a sidecar narrative panel or galleries to a sidecar media panel. Only images or videos can be added to a map tour media panel.

In a briefing, you can also add apps, images, and videos as briefing attachments.
